Answer Box

For dental and medical front desks

The front desk is with a patient. The phone still gets answered.

Healthcare offices miss about 32% of their calls, the highest rate of any industry CallRail measured in 2025. The Answer Box picks up every call, books and reschedules appointments, takes messages for the clinical team, and keeps what callers say on a box in your office.

Hear it for yourself: call (631) 910-6840. Our own sales line is answered by the same AI.

What it does

Scheduling, messages and recalls, all day

Answers every call

First ring, including lunch, evenings and weekends, in English or Spanish. It says it's the office's assistant.

Books and reschedules

Fills open slots on your schedule by appointment type and confirms by text. Patients can also text the office number.

Takes clinical messages

Pain, bleeding, a reaction, a question about a prescription: it takes a message and alerts the person you choose. It never gives medical advice.

Answers the routine questions

Hours, parking, which insurance plans you accept, what to bring to a first visit, all from the answers you give it.

Morning report

Overnight calls, new bookings and anything flagged urgent, ready before the first patient arrives.

In development

Recall reminders

Six-month cleanings and annual visits: text reminders that let patients book straight from the message.

Where patient data goes

The AI is in your office, not a vendor's cloud

Most AI receptionists send what patients say to an outside AI company for processing. The Answer Box processes calls and messages on hardware you own, inside your office.

Stays on the box in your office

  • Call transcripts and recordings, if you turn recording on
  • Messages for the care team and the appointment log
  • The AI that listens, answers and writes
  • An audit log of what the assistant said and did

Passes through outside services

  • The phone call itself, carried by the phone company (Twilio) to reach the box
  • Text messages to and from patients
  • Your practice software, if you connect it

Twilio lists its voice and messaging services as eligible for a HIPAA business associate agreement. Banksy AI LLC will sign a business associate agreement with your practice for any support access to the box. Keeping the AI on your own hardware removes an AI vendor from the chain, but it doesn't replace your own HIPAA program: risk analysis, staff training and your policies still apply. Review the setup with your compliance advisor. This page is not legal advice.

Answer Box, bought outrightFounding price, plus about $15/mo in phone minutes$4,785

Phone-minute estimate assumes about 300 three-minute calls a month at Twilio's published US rates. After the lease ends, the box is yours. A box backs up your front desk; it doesn't check patients in or take payments.

Straight answers

Questions practice managers ask

Will it give medical advice?

No. Anything clinical becomes a message for your care team, and your script sets what it says to a caller who describes an emergency. It handles scheduling, directions, insurance lists and messages.

Do patients know they're talking to AI?

Yes. It introduces itself as the office's assistant, and anyone who wants a person can ask for a callback or be transferred during office hours.

Are calls recorded?

Only if you turn recording on. Some states require every party's consent, so when recording is on it tells callers at the start.

Does it connect to our practice management software?

Today it keeps the schedule and messages on the box and emails or texts your staff. Direct connections to practice software are planned.

What happens if our internet goes down?

Calls forward to a number you choose, such as the office cell, so no patient hears dead air.
