For real estate agents and insurance offices
You're mid-showing. The lead still gets a callback booked.
Up to 85% of callers who reach voicemail don't call back, and in real estate and insurance they call the next name on the list. The Answer Box picks up every call, finds out what the caller needs, books the showing or the quote appointment, and texts them a confirmation while you finish what you're doing.
Hear it for yourself: call (631) 910-6840. Our own sales line is answered by the same AI.
What it does
Speed to lead, without a call center
Answers every call
First ring, nights and weekends, in English or Spanish. Weekend open-house traffic gets the same answer as a Tuesday morning.
Qualifies the lead
Which property, buying or selling, pre-approval, timeline. For insurance: what they're covering, renewal date, current carrier. You set the questions.
Books the next step
Showings, listing appointments, quote reviews and policy renewals go onto your calendar and are confirmed by text.
Existing clients get through
Claims, policy changes and "is my closing still on?" become messages that reach you right away, with urgent ones texted.
Morning report
Every call since you last looked, with the leads ranked by what they said: pre-approved and this weekend first.
CRM sync
Leads flow into Follow Up Boss, kvCORE or your agency management system instead of your inbox.
Where client data goes
Your lead list stays your lead list
Most AI receptionists send every call to an outside AI company's servers. The Answer Box processes calls on hardware you own, so your pipeline, your clients' finances and their policy details stay in your office.
Stays on the box in your office
- Lead sheets, call transcripts and recordings, if you turn recording on
- Pre-approval amounts, policy numbers and claim details callers share
- The AI that listens, qualifies and books
- An audit log of what the assistant said and did
Passes through outside services
- The phone call itself, carried by the phone company (Twilio) to reach the box
- Text messages to and from clients
- Your CRM or agency system, if you connect it
Insurance agencies handle nonpublic personal information under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and state insurance data-security laws, and real estate brokerages have their own state rules on client records. Keeping the AI on your own hardware takes an outside AI vendor out of the chain; it doesn't replace your own compliance program. Check your obligations with your own advisor. Two-year cost
Priced like office equipment
| Option | Basis | Two years |
|---|---|---|
| Full-time receptionist | U.S. median wage, $38,010/yr (BLS, May 2025), before payroll taxes and benefits | $76,020 |
| Answer Box, leased | $999 down + $249/mo for 24 months, plus about $15/mo in phone minutes | $7,335 |
| Answer Box, bought outright | Founding price, plus about $15/mo in phone minutes | $4,785 |
Phone-minute estimate assumes about 300 three-minute calls a month at Twilio's published US rates. After the lease ends, the box is yours. One missed buyer at a 2.5% commission on a $640,000 sale is $16,000.
Straight answers
Questions agents and brokers ask
Will it quote prices, rates or coverage?
No. It gives the listing price or the information you've entered, and everything else becomes a callback for you. It never quotes an insurance rate or promises coverage.
Do callers know they're talking to AI?
Yes. It introduces itself as your assistant, and anyone who wants a person can ask for a callback.
Can it handle several agents?
One box answers the office line and takes messages for everyone. Separate calendars and callback numbers per agent are planned.
Are calls recorded?
Only if you turn recording on. Some states require every party's consent, so when recording is on it tells callers at the start.
What happens if the office internet goes down?
Calls forward to a number you choose, such as your cell, so no caller hears dead air.
